Ms. Murray currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She is the Associate Principal Second of the Tulsa Symphony and regularly performs with Opera Santa Barbara, the Pacific Opera Project, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, and San Bernardino Symphony. She is a CMG recording artist, Music Director at Harmony Project Pasadena and a La Phil Teaching Artist with YOLA at Torres.
During her time in Tulsa, Hannah served as the Associate Concertmaster of the Signature Symphony, Associate Principal Second of the Tulsa Ballet, and as the second violinist of the Tulsa Rock Quartet. She also performed with the Tulsa Opera, the Wichita Symphony, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. She was a Master Teacher Artist with Harmony Project of Tulsa for two years, and served as the instructor of Violin and Viola, String Chamber Music, and String Education at Oklahoma Baptist University, Mid-America Christian University, and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. She is also a Suzuki Method certified violin teacher.
Hannah has performed in masterclass for James Ehnes, Felicia Moye, Janet Sung, Blair Milton and Kevork Mardirossian. While still in High School, she was the recipient of the prestigious Robert Mandura String Scholarship. In 2013 and 2014 she was a top prizewinner of the University of Oklahoma Concerto Competition and in 2011 received third prize in the CICA International Concerto Competition.
She has performed, recorded, and collaborated with a diverse collection of composers, ensembles, and performers including 2cellos, Amy Grant, Michael Bublé, Michael W. Smith, Jordan Smith, West Thordson, AIVA, Astronautalis, P.O.S., Me and My Arrow, Junebug, THEMES, Booka B, A Whisper in the Noise, WIVE, Bombee+, Noah Keesecker, Josh Clausen, Elliott Miles Mckinley and Michael Fitch.
In 2008-2010, Hannah toured Europe extensively as a member of the bands A Whisper in the Noise, WIVE, and Bombee+ performing at historic concert halls, universities, artist collectives, and national monuments. She has also appeared at many indie rock, jazz, and classical music festivals all over the country including The Oregon Coast Music Festival, SXSW, Marrowstone Music Festival, The Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop, BRAVO!, The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, and the CICA International Music Festival.
Upon graduating from Interlochen Arts Academy, she continued her studies at the University of Minnesota earning her B.M. in violin performance with Sally O’Reilly.
